Anyone may ask us to delete their account and personal data. This page explains how to ask, and exactly what happens when you do.

Include your name, the phone number you sign in with, and your temple's name, so we can find the right account. We reply within 30 days.
Temple Funds has no sign-up. You cannot create an account yourself — a temple's administrator creates one for you, in the same way an employer issues a work login. That is why deletion is a request to us rather than a button in the app.

Donation records are kept. Every receipt you recorded — the donor, the amount, the date, the receipt number — stays in the temple's records.
These are the temple's financial records, not yours. A temple has to be able to answer "who gave what, and when" long after a particular volunteer has moved on, and deleting a collector's history would tear holes in the accounts of a festival that already happened. Your name remains attached to the receipts you wrote, for the same reason a name stays on a paper receipt book.
Your temple's agents may have recorded your name, phone number and house number when you gave. You have no account with us — the temple holds those records. Ask your temple directly, or email us and we will put you in touch with the right administrator.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Where we cannot delete something — such as a financial record a temple is required to keep — we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
